There are some incredible organizations getting veterans outdoors to hunt, fish, and reconnect. That work has value. But that is not what Camp Valor is.
We are not a recreational hunting or fishing organization that uses the word "therapy" to describe being outdoors.
Camp Valor provides licensed clinical behavioral health treatment in nature-based and community settings.
Recreation can create connection. Camp Valor is building treatment, connection, and long-term support.

About Mike
Mike Brandow
Founder. Combat Veteran.
Camp Valor Adventure Healing was founded by Mike Brandow, a combat veteran. Mike built Camp Valor around a simple idea: people open up in real settings, not across a desk.
The care itself is licensed clinical behavioral health treatment, led by clinicians. The outdoor and community settings are where that work happens.
Camp Valor Mission
Camp Valor Adventure Healing exists to meet veterans, first responders, and their families where they are, providing clinician-led mental health services, peer support, outdoor healing, and family-centered care that builds connection, purpose, and a path forward.

Vet Centers provide community-based counseling and support for eligible veterans, service members, and families. The VA locator can search specifically for Vet Centers, or you can call the Vet Center Call Center at any hour to be connected with the nearest location.
Camp Valor provides mobile, community-based mental health and wellness support throughout Michigan. Connect with us at veteran events, community outreach programs, Vet2Vet activities, and other in-person opportunities near you.
Camp Valor partners with Safeguard Veterans to expand military cultural competency and suicide prevention awareness in our communities. Free online training is available for community members, organizations, providers, students, and anyone who wants to better understand and support veterans.
The training is free. Camp Valor makes zero dollars from it.
